India's First 5G Service Will Launch in Mid-2021
Not only planning to launch the first 5G service in the country, Jio is also working to launch a line of Android smartphones. The launch of Android is the result of collaboration between Jio and Google.
Based on a report from NDTV, Ambani believes policy steps are needed to accelerate the rollout of 5G networks in India. The launch will also be supported by the network, hardware, and technology components developed by them locally.
Reliance Industries telecommunication unit Jio is currently working on a 5G network as well as promising exclusive network coverage of LT nationwide. The company is expected to surpass its competitors and other large operators such as Airtel and Vi.
When companies want to bring newer and faster bandwidth to the region, they have to hook up with industry giants like Samsung and Qualcomm.
Meanwhile Jio currently has the largest market share in the Indian telecommunications market with a share of 35 percent. The company also develops a wide range of services such as education, commerce, health care, agriculture, infrastructure and financial services.
